My three-day adventure to the Napa Valley and Sonoma County’s wine country was a colorful blast. I got to spend time with family and friends. And as always, it is one of my favorite getaways. With more than 425 wineries, miles of rugged Pacific coastline, towering redwood forests, and its close proximity to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, Sonoma County is my dream vacation spot in California.
World-class premium wines, tasting rooms, private tours, beautiful gardens, and art galleries was the exciting part of my trip, sip wine until your heart is content.
Here are some exciting colorful places I’ve visited.
Eric Ross Winery:
Located in the heart of Sonoma Valley.
A small and casual tasting room across from an art gallery has superb wines that are bold and premium. My favorite; the 2012 Tempranillo, Bokisch Vineyards.
Mayo Family Winery:
Another small family owned vineyard wines that were founded in 1993, the winery has two wine making facilities in Glen Ellen, California, each fitted and equipped to produce particular types of wines. Mayo Family wines are only sold online or in their tasting room. Here's an old barn door, and tasting room in rustic tones.
My favorite wine; the 2011 Zinfandel, Ricci Vineyards, Russian River Valley. Gold Medal Winner at the Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
Francis Ford Coppola Winery:
Located in Napa Valley.
The part what I’ve enjoyed the most about the winery was the outdoor pool area, which has lots of bold colored fabrics and was inspirational, a great way of bringing in accent colors and patterns. Francis Ford Coppola wanted to create a place for families to come and enjoy all the best things in life together. Francis always sympathized with the children, so he thought, Gee, the kids will want to go swimming, so let's have swimming pools.
Situated in the center of the park area at the winery, two swimming pools totaling 3,600 square feet are surrounded by chaise lounge chairs, which have become a welcome addition for children and adults alike.
Chateau St. Jean:
My sister and her husband are looking at a property next to this amazing vineyard. It was breathtaking to see Chateau St. Jean as your neighbor. Nestled in the heart of the stunning Sonoma Valley, the Chateau St. Jean estate had an incredible vineyard views, and breathtaking ambience of the estate.
It was such an amazing three-day trip. Thanks to my family who all came out to visit me, and my older sister while on vacation. And to Baldwin Hardware for sharing my beautiful trip of the Wine Country.
